Tied ZK GNW to a handy fence post, a big SMILE from the engineer, a few pops and away went the engine,,,,,,noise what a noise,it was music to our ears as it has been many months of false starts. The engine ran so smoothly. A nice 30 minutes of engine testing and then the inspection, yes we found a few items to rectify, so a bit more time in the workshop and then it will be down to the airfield

June update

Everyone's got smiles on there faces as it is rumoured that November Whiskey may get off the ground this month, but the weather may hold us up. We have moved it from the repair hangar and it is being prepared for its wings to be re attached and a big polish. A bit more paint and a good clean to the engine area now sees a shinny bright firewall. We managed to give the Grob a big polish and it looks really good. The brake system is being checked and waiting for those wheels to roll. The Trust is actively trying to raise funds to purchase ZK GMW as the owners have agreed to sell it to the Trust at a very favourable price. The Trustees are working on a number of applications for funding in the hope the Trust can purchase the motor glider, so
